Era: Late 1950s–early 1960s
Material: Painted metal rack with cardboard fan belt boxes and branded header sign.
Design: Bold yellow and green Raybestos Vee-Cord logo with red and black detailing.
Use: Wall-mounted garage display rack for organizing and selling fan belts.
Raybestos, established in 1902, became a global leader in automotive parts — best known for its brake linings and fan belts.
The company’s UK branch, Raybestos-Belaco Ltd., distributed the “Vee-Cord” line of reinforced rubber fan belts to garages and parts retailers.
These display racks were provided to Raybestos dealers as branded point-of-sale fixtures, allowing mechanics to quickly access belts by size and part number.
The vibrant design and detailed product sleeves reflect the postwar era of hands-on motoring service and mechanical craftsmanship.
This original display retains excellent vintage patina, with light surface wear and age-related marks consistent with workshop use. The painted metal frame and signage show strong colour and authenticity. Several original cardboard belt sleeves remain in place, adding to its period charm and display appeal.
Highly collectible among automobilia and vintage garage enthusiasts.
Rare to find complete with the Raybestos-branded header panel and original belt boxes.
Perfect for display in a garage, workshop, showroom, or vintage motoring collection.
